Reverse has a listing of the dates of States entry onto the Union copyright by Henry A. Fredette in 1983 and signed by him on the edge. Henry was a designer of commemorative flags and involved in the study of US history. 
This period flag is printed on linen and in good condition for the age with minor tattered edge & a few small holes near the edge. It has the patina you want to see.
