Hand painted bentwood covered oval box.  Bird, flowers, heart motif done in thick, bright paint.  5" L x 3 1/4" W x 2" H.  Base & cover scratch marked "XII". Constructed with thin metal staple type fasteners.  Nice patina. Wear expected with age.   A real cutie!!
